Woodgrove & Tuscarora High Schools Select Mascots
Eight hundred and sixty-one students from Harmony Intermediate School and Loudoun Valley High School were polled regarding school colors and mascot for Woodgrove High School, set to open for the start of the 2010-2011 school year in Purcellville. Students selected the “Wolverines” as the school mascot and school colors of navy blue, green and white for the new western Loudoun high school, according to the announcement last week from Woodgrove HS Principal Ric Gauriloff.

Purcellville Man Caught in Sex Sting at Park
Charles Allen Stone, 69, of Purcellville, was charged with second-degree assault and fourth degree sex offense for allegedly making sexual contact with an undercover police officer.
The Maryland Natural Resources Police conducted the sting operation that nabbed the men at Gambrill State Park in Frederick County. The arrests took place between Aug. 10 and 14, according to police.
