LCPS High School Football Games and Events Rescheduled

Broad Run-Freedom: The Freedom HS-Broad Run HS varsity football game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16 at Freedom High School has been rescheduled to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19.

Scholarly Send-off

Since 1980, the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation, headquartered at Morven Park near Leesburg, has given scholarships to exceptional Loudoun County students entering the University of Virginia. The students are chosen on the basis of academic achievement and community service.

Valley's Williams is Gatorade Player of the Year

 James Madison University softball recruit Caroline Williams of Purcellville, who plays for Loudoun Valley High School, was recently named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Virginia.

 

Battlefield Rallies, Beats Loudoun Valley 12-7 For Title

Arguably two of the hottest teams in the Northwest Region squared off in a win-or-go-home championship tilt at Battlefield High School in Haymarket on Thursday night. Loudoun Valley had won 12 straight games after starting the season 3-7 for Head Coach Wayne Todd, and Battlefield entered the game 12-10, but having just knocked off the top-seed Osbourn Park in the semifinals.

Vikings Score Three in the Seventh to Snatch Victory

During the recent match-up, the Loudoun Valley Vikings scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to snatch a victory away from the Centreville Wildcats, winning 7-6.
