A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle at the 25010 block of White Sands Dr. in Chantilly.

Nov. 10, 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Two bicycles were taken from an open garage at the 40430 block of Milford Dr. in Ashburn.

Nov. 10-11, 8:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Copper piping was stolen from a construction site at the 43900 block of Devin Shafron Dr. in Ashburn.

Auto Theft
Nov. 7-9, 5 p.m. – 7 a.m.
A trailer and bobcat were stolen from a construction site at the 23670 block of Overland Dr. in Sterling.

Burglary
Nov. 8, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Unknown persons entered an unoccupied home at the 11690 block of Dutchmans Creed Rd. in Lovettsville, stealing a washing machine, wood stove, toilet, medicine cabinet, light fixtures and a sewage pump.

Destruction of Property
Nov. 6-9
Playground equipment located near the intersection of Freeport Way and Stukely Dr. in Sterling was damaged by unknown persons.

Unknown persons entered a business at the 42460 block of John Mosby Hwy. in South Riding through a bay door. A vending machine was damaged.

A GPS unit was stolen from an unsecured vehicle at the 18200 block of Cypress Point Ter. In Leesburg.

A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle at the 43480 block of Millwright Ter. In Leesburg.

Deputies responded to the 45400 block of Dulles Crossing Plaza in Sterling for a report of two males shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Tuan M. Nguyen, 22, of South Riding, VA, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, petit larceny, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, obstruction of justice, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest.

Burglary

July 21, 9:05 p.m.

After receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle at a vacant home on Peale Ln. in Leesburg, police stopped Matthew Young, 44, of Woodbridge after he exited the vehicle and entered the garage of the residence. Young was charged with Burglary and Larceny. He is being held on a $2,000 bond.

July 29, 1 a.m. – 4 a.m.

Unknown persons entered 6 vehicles in the area of Biscayne Pl. in Sterling either through an unsecured door or by breaking a vehicle window. Several small electronics items were stolen.
