ASSAULT
Nov. 12, 8:23 p.m.
A 30-year old female reported that she was assaulted while walking her dog on a path near the 260 block of West Meadowland Ln. The victim reported that there were 3 attackers: a white male, a white female and a black male.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
Nov. 12-13, 11 p.m. – 2:21 a.m.

Auto Theft
Nov. 7-9, 5 p.m. – 7 a.m.
A trailer and bobcat were stolen from a construction site at the 23670 block of Overland Dr. in Sterling.

Burglary
Nov. 8, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Unknown persons entered an unoccupied home at the 11690 block of Dutchmans Creed Rd. in Lovettsville, stealing a washing machine, wood stove, toilet, medicine cabinet, light fixtures and a sewage pump.

Destruction of Property
Nov. 6-9
Playground equipment located near the intersection of Freeport Way and Stukely Dr. in Sterling was damaged by unknown persons.

Aug. 1, 5 p.m.

An unknown subject entered a vehicle near the intersection of Spotswood Rd. and Bickel Ct. in Sterling by damaging a window. They removed a portable CD player from inside.

Barricade Scenario

Aug. 13, 9:50 p.m. 

Sheriff's deputies responded to the 24000 block of New Mountain Rd. in Aldie after receiving reports of a subject threatening his own life and in possession of a firearm. The subject had barricaded himself in the home, requiring the assistance of the Hostage Negotiations Unit and the Emergency Response Team. The situation was peacefully resolved at approximately 4:15 a.m. and the subject was transferred to a local hospital.

Burglary

July 21, 9:05 p.m.

After receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle at a vacant home on Peale Ln. in Leesburg, police stopped Matthew Young, 44, of Woodbridge after he exited the vehicle and entered the garage of the residence. Young was charged with Burglary and Larceny. He is being held on a $2,000 bond.

Burglary

July 24-25, 12 p.m. -11:50 a.m.

Unknown subjects forced open the door of a residence at the 21399 block of Wideoak Ct. in Sterling. The subjects damaged the basement walls of the home and stole a laptop.

Assault

Aug. 3, 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

A 20-year old California woman was selling magazines at the 21600 block of N. Sterling Blvd. in Sterling when she was approached by an unknown subject who then assaulted her. The victim received treatment at the scene and was then transported to Inova Loudoun Hospital.
