Editorial: Getting There From Here

Both Bob McDonnell (R) and Creigh Deeds (D) have emphasized their own transportation solutions and appear to empathize with those of us sitting in traffic, but their good intentions have simply not resulted in a workable plan.

In the race for governor, Republican Bob McDonnell has raised more than $160,000 in Loudoun in 2008 and 2009, six-times what Deeds has collected locally over the same period.

Dartboard: How Many Debates?

I’d like for you to think back to 2005. Tim Kaine (D) and Jerry Kilgore (R) were locked in the race to become the next Virginia Governor. Coincidentally, the 2009 candidates for Governor, Creigh Deeds (D) and Bob McDonnell (R), were in an extremely tight race for Attorney General.

Now, how many debates did you watch in 2005, and how much did they impact your vote?
