"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is a light-hearted musical based on the Biblical story of Joseph told in the Book of Genesis. The play takes us on the journey of a young man who is favored by his father and given an amazing coat of many colors, while his brothers stew in envy. When jealously finally gets the better of the brothers, they decide to destroy Joseph’s coat, throw him in a pit, and leave him for dead. At the last minute they have a change of heart, selling their brother into slavery and thinking they are rid of their problem forever. Fate later reunites Joseph with his devious brothers, and that’s when things get interesting. This musical features the song “Any Dream Will Do,” as well as (spoiler alert) a happy ending.
