The Rotary Club of Sterling held its regular clean up of Algonkian Regional Park on June 6. The Rotary Club holds the event three times a year, and invites the public to join the cleanup effort.

Rotarians were joined by members of the Christian Fellowship Church, and collected cigarette butts, debris, glass, a tire, fishing line and other trash. About 45 people cleaned up along the banks of the river, and then moved inland to clean up around the shelters, in the parking lot, along the roads and in the open green space at the park.
