Loudoun’s Natural History Day Camp will be held again this summer. This is an opportunity for parents to provide some much needed environmental education for their children at one of Loudoun’s most beautiful nature preserves, Banshee Reeks, south of Leesburg.
Dates and Hours: Two sessions: June 22-26 and July 6-10; 9 a.m.-3 p.m., daily
Location: The 720-acre Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve, Woods Road, five miles south of Leesburg, off of Route 15.
Ages: Rising 3rd-7th graders
Cost: $130. Registration On a first come, first-served basis
Activities: Exploring local woods, streams, fields and ponds; observing creatures in their natural habitats; documenting observations; and enjoying games.
Sponsors: Camp is co-sponsored by Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, Piedmont Environmental Council, Friends of Banshee Reeks, and Loudoun County Parks and Recreation.
