The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints over the past week of Halloween decorations being stolen from lawns in Ashburn.
The thefts occurred on Hyde Park Drive, Forest Manor Drive, Belmont Station Drive and Sturman Place on the evenings of Oct. 27 and Oct. 28. “They are likely related,” acknowledged Kraig Troxell, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.
He said some of the items stolen included a scarecrow, a 44-inch by 48-inch animated pumpkin mesh net, an inflatable Frankenstein, an inflatable light up lawn ghost and an 8-foot-high decoration made of stacked pumpkins.
