Oct. 9, 8 a.m.
Unknown subjects removed a black trailer that was left in a parking lot near the intersection of Relocation Dr./Pacific Blvd. in Sterling.
Oct. 23, 10 p.m.
Unknown subjects removed a 2008 red Honda Fit that was parked at the 43090 block of Peacock Market Plz. in Chantilly.
Burglary
Oct. 24, 2:42 p.m.
Unknown subjects entered a residence at the 43900 block of Eagle Harbor Ter. in Ashburn and removed a ring and a sword and its sheath.
Oct. 24, 8:54 a.m.
Unknown subjects entered the UPS store at the 44050 block of Ashburn Shopping Plz. in Ashburn and removed cash from cash registers. Three packages were also reported missing.
Destruction of Property
Oct. 24, 6 p.m. An unknown subject threw a rock at the window of a residence at the 16500 block of Swanbourne Dr. in Hamilton. The rock caused damage to the home.
Oct. 25, 11:30 a.m.
Unknown subjects damaged the window of a residence at the 100 block of W. Amhurst Pl. in Sterling.
Larceny
Oct. 22, 9 p.m.
Unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle in the 43840 block of Stony Brook Sq. in Leesbrurg and removed a wallet and its contents.
Malicious Wounding/Attempted Robbery
Oct. 25, 7 p.m. Deputies responded to the 20 block of Sugarland Square Ct. in Sterling where a victim was suffering from stab wounds. The victim told authorities he was riding his bike in the area when he was approached by an unknown subject who demanded cash. The victim refused and was stabbed by the suspect. The suspect was described as a tall Black male, wearing a black t-shirt, a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The area was searched by multiple patrol units including a K-9 Unit. No suspect matching this description was located. The victim was taken to INOVA Fairfax Hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries. (See Independent story coverage.)
Suspicious Event
Oct. 24, 11:35 p.m. A resident of the 25020 block of Justice Dr. in South Riding reported that they believed they heard someone enter their home through a front door. The resident reported hearing footsteps when they called out. There were no signs of forced entry and it is possible the door was left unlocked.
