Unknown subject(s) entered an unsecured barn in the 21100 block of St. Louis Rd. in Middleburg and removed four rabbits.

Aug. 28, 2:10 p.m.
Deputies received a report of a grand larceny in progress at the Costco Warehouse in the 21390 block of Price Cascades Plaza in Sterling. Police began chasing a suspect which fled the scene at a high rate of speed, but the pursuit was terminated on Dranesville Road due to safety reasons. The vehicle entered Fairfax County and authorities are currently working to identify the driver.

Unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle in the 21820 block of Bramble Ct. in Sterling and removed an MP3 player, breaking the passenger side window in the process.

A deputy observed three unknown subjects running from a parked van near Maple Ave./Providence Village Dr. in Sterling. Once examined, it appeared that the van was unlocked and a car stereo was removed but still in the vehicle. The vehicles owners were not located.

Dead End Drive (DUI, Eluding)
Aug. 30, 2:05 a.m.
A deputy observed a vehicle driving erratically and a traffic stop was initiated near Route 7 and Potomac View Rd. in Sterling. The vehicle continued to drive and turned onto Potomac View Road. The vehicle then accelerated and the driver attempted to turn onto a road that was a dead end. The driver, Yonis R. Aguilar-Pachecho, 44, of Sterling, fled from the vehicle but was apprehended, and was charged with DUI, disregarding a signal to stop and preventing law enforcement from making arrest.

Unknown subject(s) entered two vehicles in the 1100 block of E. Holly Ave. in Sterling and removed a cell phone, a GPS unit and an MP3 player. The vehicles' passenger side windows were damaged to gain entry.

A resident heard someone at the front door and, upon investigating, observed three unknown subjects opening the door. The subjects, described as juveniles (two white males and an asian male), fled after hearing the resident.

Unknown subject(s) threw a hubcap at a moving vehicle near Belmont Ridge Rd. and Gloucester Parkway in Ashburn, damaging it on the driver's side.

Aug. 26, 10:23 p.m.
A deputy observed a vehicle driving on Route 7 near Loudoun County Parkway/Marblehead Dr. in Ashburn with a malfunctioning headlight and initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle accelerated. It eventually turned onto Tillman Terrace and pulled into a parking space at Whitford Square. The driver fled on foot. A perimeter was established and a Loudoun Sheriff¹s K9 Unit located the suspect hiding in a stairwell. He was identified as a 16-year-old male from Manassas, VA. The juvenile was charged with felony eluding, unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, defective headlight and driving on a suspended license. He remains held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
A man is driving on the highway when a friend calls him on his cell phone. "Hey, be careful. I heard on the news there is a car driving the wrong way. To this, the man replies, "One? There's millions of them!" (Pursuit)
Aug. 27, 2:21 a.m.
A Sheriff's Deputy observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Route 7 near the 46900 block of Community Plaza in Sterling and activated his emergency equipment. The vehicle quickly turned onto Community Plaza and sped off. A pursuit started and was terminated at the Fairfax County Line, but law enforcement personnel from Fairfax County took over the pursuit as it went southbound on the Fairfax County Parkway. Fairfax deployed stop sticks -- effectively disabling the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped on the Fairfax County Parkway at Sunrise Valley Drive. Fairfax Police charged the driver with Speed to Elude, DUI and DUI Revoked. Charges are pending in Loudoun County.


Wow, Loudoun County is going downhill fast. There must be something we can do before it's too late.
