Deja Vu (Hit and Run)

Aug 21, 4:30 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 45800 block of Jona Dr. in Sterling after receiving a report of a disorderly subject. Deputies located a male and female. The male, Zachary J. Corriveau, 23, of Sterling, was said to be the driver of a car involved in a multiple-vehicle accident on Route 7. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence (second offense in five years) and Hit and Run, and remains held without bond.

Aug. 22, 3:14 a.m.

A deputy on patrol near Westmoreland Dr. in Sterling observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. After a short pursuit, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop and three subjects jumped out. One was located and successfully identified as a 16-year-old from Sterling. He was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Underage Possession of Alcohol and a probation violation. He remains in custody at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

Avoid the past (Assault)

Aug 22, 9:21 a.m. 22200 block of Stablehouse Dr. in Sterling

A male and female were followed by a male subject -- a onetime acquaintance of the female. The subject assaulted the male and left the scene -- but the incident remains under investigation.

"Home Improvement" wannabe (Destruction of Property)

Aug. 22, 1 a.m. 200 block of E. Frederick Dr. in Sterling

Unknown subject(s) damaged the doors to a toolshed in an attempt to gain entry.

They'll take anything (Larceny)

Aug. 20, 10 p.m. 43000 block of Lago Stella Pl. in Ashburn

Unknown subject(s) removed a GPS unit from a vehicle and a tile from a house undergoing construction.

Swim with the fishes -- mobster style (Suspicious Event)

Aug. 22, 3:43 p.m.

A resident near Pedido Bay Ter./Bent Creek Terr. in Leesburg reported finding possible skeletal remains along the shoreline. The Sheriff's Office Underwater Recovery unit attended to the scene and determined the remains to be from an animal.

Disappearing Act (Brandishing/Underage Possession of a Firearm)

Aug. 22, 9:50 p.m.

A juvenile female reported that an unknown subject had pulled a gun on her at the 40 block of Sugarland Square Ct.. A deputy located several subjects, one of whom, a 19-year-old from Sterling, was charged with Underage Possession of Alcohol. No weapon was located.

When sugar attacks... (Tampering)

Aug. 23, 1:15 a.m.

Unknown subject(s) attempted to get into several soda vending machines in the 45420 block of Holiday Dr. in Sterling. They were unable to get in and nothing was removed.

The lawn gnomes may have taken revenge (Burglary)

Aug. 21, 3 p.m.

Unknown subject(s) removed several lawnmowers, trimmers and a blower from a trailer at the 25300 block of Poland Rd. in Chantilly belonging to Green Leaf Landscaping. 

Shades in the night (Larceny)

Aug. 20, 6 p.m.

Unknown subject(s) in the 14600 block of Grange Dr. in Purcellville removed two pairs of sunglasses from a vehicle.

Updatin' the Facebook photo (Burglary)

Aug. 21, 10:30 a.m.

 Unknown subject(s) in the 46800 block of Trumpet Cir. in Sterling removed a laptop and a camera from a residence. The resident did not report the theft until Sunday.

Wow...looks like LCSD might want to lay off the ridiculous traffic stops/unreasonable search & seizures and actually DO something. Seems like all they do is harass people who aren't really doing anything wrong, while the people out there stealing, committing gang crime, and WORSE get away. Here's a tip fellas: pulling people over for nonsense like a "dim tag light" is a waste of taxpayer time & money. Get a clue.
