Assault

June 14, 8:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

A 31 year old woman was in a park for a cookout when another woman approached her. The women then proceeded to assault the victim. The suspect is described as a while female, large in stature, with long dark hair, she was wearing a yellow and striped tank top. The incident occurred at Algonkian Park in Sterling.

Larceny from a Vehicle

June 16-17, 4:00 p.m.- 6:41 a.m.

An MP3 Player was removed from a vehicle on the 46800 block of Northbrook Way in Sterling. Suspects damaged a window in the process.

 

June 16-17, 6:30 p.m.- 9:00 a.m.

An MP3 player was removed from a vehicle on the 21700 block of Pinewood Ct. in Sterling. A window was damaged in the process.

 

June 16-17, 3:00 p.m.- 6:30 a.m.

Suspect(s) stole an MP3 player from the 21700 block of Kings Crossing Ter, in Ashburn.

 

June 17, 6:49 p.m.

Unknown persons appeared to have walked on the hood of a vehicle damaging it in the process. Incident occurred on the 25400 block of Upper Clubhouse Dr., in South Riding.

 

Flooding

June 18

High water and flooding occurred in the areas of Route 50, between Route 7 and Route 659, between Route 15 and Goose Creek, on Route 611, and in the Sterling Park Area. Sheriff's deputies responded to each incident. 

 

Suspicious Event

June 17, 11:56 p.m.

A white male was discovered in the garage of a residence on the 20200 block of Kiawah Island Dr. in Ashburn. Residents reported hearing a noise in the garage; the suspect fled the garage into a dark colored small sized pick-up truck. Nothing was removed, the area was searched and neither the vehicle nor the suspect was found.

 

June 17-18, 9:00 p.m.- 12:01 a.m.

A resident claimed a possible unlawful entry occurred at their residence on the 42700 block of Big Spruce Sq., in Leesburg. Nothing was removed and there were no signs of forced entry.

 

June 18, 2:45 a.m.

An unknown subject attempted to steal a car stereo at the 600 block of West Beech Rd. in Sterling. The owner of the vehicle interrupted the crime and saw the subject flee from the area. The area was searched with the assistance of a K9 unit. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his early twenties, wearing a red and pink stripped long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
