May 16, 3:35-40 p.m.
A 19-year-old Winchester male was waking near the 17500 block of Franklin Park Drive in Purcellville, along with his girlfriend. The pair were approached by two subjects who confronted and assaulted the male. The two subjects, described as black males, then walked away.
Firearms
May 15, 12:17 a.m.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 21700 block of Leatherleaf Circle in Sterling after reports of gunfire. A firework was located and it was still warm to the touch. Nothing else was located.
May 17, 2:38 a.m.
Gunfire was reported in the area of the 42900 block of Conquest Circle in Ashburn. It was later discovered the sound of gunfire was actually Fireworks, ignited on nearby Explorer Drive. The subject was charged.
Larceny
May 15, 1:30 a.m. - 6 a.m.
Unknown persons entered a business after hours at the 23500 block of Overland Drive in Sterling. There were no signs of forced entry, but cash was removed.
May 16, 7 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
A laptop was stolen from a warehouse at the 44200 block of Mercure Circle in Ashburn.
Larceny from a Vehicle
May 15-16, 9:45 p.m. - 8 a.m.
After damaging a window, unknown persons stole a GPS unit and MP3 player from a vehicle near the intersection of East Frederick and Thomas Jefferson Drive in Sterling. .
May 16-17, 9 a.m. - 8:25 a.m.
A GPS unit an miscellaneous items were removed from a vehicle at the 100 block of Applegate Drive in Sterling.
May 16-17, 4 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Golf clubs were taken from a vehicle at the 45600 block of Paddington Station Terrace in Sterling.
May 17, 1 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
A portable CD player was stolen from a vehicle at the 100 block of Gold Thorn Way in Sterling.
Peeping Tom
May 15, 9:53 p.m.
Returning home, a female victim of the 46200 block of Trillum Square in Sterling, returned home and observed an unknown subject crouched outside a window. The Peeping Tom was described a light-skinned black or hispanic male, 6' tall with a chubby build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a navy blue baseball hat, a navy blue t-shirt and blue shorts. He had short hair and was described as being in his early 30s.
Suspicious Event
May 15, 3:30-45 p.m.
A teenager reported that she was walking in the area of the 700 block of Sugarland Run Drive when she noted a suspicious vehicle appeared to be following her. The occupants of the vehicle did not come into contact with the teen.
May 17, 2:38 a.m.
A resident of the 26100 block of Talamore Drive in Chantilly reported unknown suspects knocking on their door. Believing that the subjects were attempting to gain entry, the resident asked deputies to respond. A perimeter was established around the home along with a K9 unit, but no suspects were located.
Suspicious Vehicle
May 15, 4 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
Residents of the 600 block of East Charlotte Street in Sterling reported seeing a white female in her teens or early twenties exit a black four-door sedan and run down the trail in an suspicious manner, attempting to hide as she ran. Residents also reported hearing gunfire around 4 a.m., but did not report it. Another report was made of gunfire during the same morning, but the area was searched and only fireworks were discovered.
