The victim, a 23-year-old Sterling man, told Sheriff's deputies that he was riding his bike on Sunday at around 7 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown suspect who demanded cash. The victim refused, then was allegedly stabbed by the suspect.
The victim went to several nearby homes asking for help, and was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital where he was expected to fully recover from the injuries he sustained.
"Investigators followed up on several different leads, and the suspect happened to live in the area," said Kraig Troxell, Public Information Officer of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department. "We don't think at this time that it was gang related."
Perry has been charged with attempted robbery and malicious wounding, and remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
