Three Subway franchises, owned by Vince Carbone, will let customers buy $1 fundraiser “paws” to benefit Golden Retriever Rescue Education and Training (GRREAT). The non-profit organization works to find new homes for unwanted, stray, and abandoned Golden Retrievers and provides rescue and foster care throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia.
On Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until noon, the Subway located at 43150 Broadlands Center will host an information fair and fundraiser, selling the “paws,” dogs and merchandise.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to help an organization that does incredible work,” said Carbone. “Our customers will appreciate meeting GRREAT. I hope we can raise at least $100 from each of my stores.”
Other locations selling “paws” include 43330 Junction Plaza and 43490 Yukon Dr., both in Ashburn.
