Cuban-born Luis Cortez shows how to roll an authentic smoke

Cuban native Luis Cortez demonstrated the art of hand-rolling cigars during an event at Creighton Farms Golf Club.
 

 Cortez makes appearances throughout the region and rolls and sells cigars. He is also the owner of Cortez Cigars.

In this video, Cortez takes us through the cigar-rolling process, which preceded our opportunity to smoke the fresh cigar that you can see him rolling.

He attended the event as part of the entertainment for a fundraiser at Creighton Farms on Monday, Oct. 12. A local nonprofit, Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center, hosted a charity golf tournament to raise money for their organization.
