A fire in Broadlands on Sunday morning has displaced a family of six. A 911 call came into Loudoun County Emergency Communications at around 9:30 a.m. on Mother's Day Sunday.
Emergency personnel arrived to discover a heavy fire at the 21600 block of Mitchell Court in Ashburn. Fire-rescue crews from Moorefield, Ashburn, Sterling, Arcola, Leesburg and South Riding responded to the incident, initiating an exterior defensive attack--used to knock the fire down before the crew entered to extinguish the bigger fire inside the structure.
There were no reported injuries either among residents or emergency personnel. The family of six who lived in the home were able to safely evacuate.
The residence was destroyed, causing an estimated $800,000 in damages. The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the blaze. Three surrounding homes also received minor damage to the exterior siding due to extreme heat.

It wasn't Brambleton, it was the Farmwell Hunt neighborhood of Ashburn.
