The line to get in to the 10th District Job Fair circled led from the entry to the exhibition floor (normally the School Board meeting room at the Loudoun County Public Schools Administration Building) and snaked twice through the lobby then out a side door and around the side of the building. Some job seekers told the Loudoun Independent that they have been in line for the job fair for over 90 minutes.

Even so, all of the participants who spoke with the Independent said that they were grateful for the opportunity. 76 employers were lined in rows in the exhibition hall and neighboring rooms. The employers included a large number of federal and state agencies, like the U.S. State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency.

Several private organizations were also recruiting. Businesses like AXA Advisors reported accepting between 100-150 resumes over the course of the event.

The event was organized by Representative Frank Wolf (R-Va), the 10th Congressional District of Virginia’s representative to Congress. Over 4,000 packets for job-seekers were prepared for the event and organizers anticipated distributing them all.

A valet service would have done well as the ample parking at Administration Buildign overflowed as Sheriff’s deputies directed job seekers to park wherever they could.
