Middleburg Man Arrested in Gun Shop Burglary

A 20-year-old Middleburg man has been charged by Leesburg Police in the burglary of the Loudoun Guns store, located at 302 Industrial Court in Leesburg. 

Anthony Rumont Roberts of Middleburg was charged with burglary, grand larceny, concealing stolen firearms, and grand larceny with intent to sell or distribute stolen property, obstruction of justice and destruction of property. 

He is currently being held in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, pending arraignment. 

The charges are a result of Leesburg Police responding to an alarm at the Loudoun Guns store in Leesburg at about 3:30 a.m. on April 15. Upon arrival, police discovered smashed glass at the entrance to the store. Subsequently, police were able to apprehend Roberts and recover evidence at the scene. Leesburg Police are searching for a second suspect, described as a male, 5-ft. 2-inches to 5-ft. 6-inches tall, weighing 150 lbs., and last seen wearing an orange ski mask and dark clothing.
