Recipients of the 2009 Teri & Shari Malone Foundation awards were recognized at the Oct. 27 Loudoun County School Board meeting. The foundation is dedicated to the memory of the talented twins who lost their lives at age 14 shortly after completing their eighth grade year at Seneca Ridge Middle School. The Malone Foundation recognizes students with exceptional talent in five categories: Art, Dance, Math, Music and Science from each of the Loudoun County middle schools and from area dance schools. Annually recipients receive a recognition plaque presented at special ceremonies and $250 in scholarship assistance for development of their interests and talents.
