The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors provides funding opportunities to nonprofit regional organizations that provide services to Loudoun County residents in designated service categories. Applications for these funds are considered during the county’s annual budget process.
In preparation for the FY 2011 budget process, Loudoun County is offering an opportunity for regional organizations to present information on their organization to a panel of application review team members.
Under this process, organizations that are considering applying for FY 2011 funds will meet with a panel of application review team members to provide a brief (no more than 15 minute) presentation on their organization and to answer questions from the panel. The panel meetings are for the organization's representatives and the review team members only. Panel sessions are scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Loudoun County Government Center on the following days, and are by appointment only:
● Tuesday, July 14
● Friday, July 17
● Wednesday, July 22
● Tuesday, August 11
● Monday, August 24
To be eligible for funding, organizations must be a tax-exempt private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization and must provide services in one or more of the following categories:
● Arts
● Culture
● Economic Development
● Emergency food, clothing or shelter
● Health
● Social Services
As these panel presentations are a supplement to the county’s regional organization application process, organizations are not required to participate in a panel meeting to be eligible for funding. Applications for the county’s regional organization FY 11 funding cycle will be available in September.
Any organization interested in scheduling a panel meeting should contact Lyda Costello Kiser in the Department of Management and Financial Services at 703-737-8341 or lyda.kiser@loudoun.gov . The deadline for scheduling is August 4, 2009.
