Firefighters fought the blaze at the Leesburg Station Auto Wash on Leesburg’s Catoctin Circle for several hours. “They did a great job and [helped us] save our second building,” said co-owner Ryan Magazzine.

 

A Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputy was on patrol near East Broad Way and Berlin Turnpike in Lovettsville at 1:54 a.m. Sept. 25 when he was approached by Matthew B. Singleton. Singleton, 24, placed a firearm on the patrol vehicle and told the officer he had been approached by five unknown males, who had fired a weapon at him.

 

Authorities were called after a man came into the emergency room of INOVA Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne with stab wounds.

According to what the victim told investigators, at about 8:30 p.m. he was in his vehicle at the 300 block of South Sterling Boulevard when he was then approached by several unknown male suspects, who verbally attacked the man. The victim got out of the car and a fight ensued, during which the victim received a laceration. The victim could only identify his attackers as Hispanic.

On Sept. 3, the Leesburg Police Department, assisted by members of the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force and Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, executed nine search warrants and made six criminal arrests in follow-up of a gang-related incident on Aug. 12.

An unknown subject entered a vehicle near the intersection of Spotswood Rd. and Bickel Ct. in Sterling by damaging a window. They removed a portable CD player from inside.

Aug. 31, 9 p.m. Unknown subject(s) entered an unsecured vehicle in the 43600 block of Emerald Dunes Place in Leesburg, and took an MP3 player.

The Loudoun Sheriff's Office Underwater Recovery unit received a request from Fauquier County to help out with a drowning investigation. Apparently, two bodies were recovered from a pond after a canoe capsized. No other victims were located.
