I’ve said before that I think eastern Loudoun is one of the most ideal places to live.

I waxed philosophic a bit last week, but here are some specific hints for making it through, and enjoying yourself doing it.

A Leesburg youth apparently escaped from an apparent child abduction in a chilling event that occurred Thursday afternoon.

 

Fifth grader Samantha Schuler has two photos to bring in for show-and-tell at her Pinebrook Elementary School classroom--photos of what appears to be a young black bear standing and running in the fields near the school on Thursday, June 11. Pinewood Elementary is located in the Kirkpatrick Farms subdivision in Aldie. 

 

 A Loudoun County Public School Bus became stuck on the median between lanes of traffic on Route 15 on Thursday, June 11. The driver, Mark David Griffiths, 54, was driving south on Sycolin Road and attempting to turn right onto the westbound lanes of the Leesburg Bypass/ Route 15. Unsuccessfully navigating the turn, the bus pushed forward onto the median between lanes of traffic, becoming stuck on the slope that makes up the median at that location.
