I believe Leesburg and Loudoun County are at a crossroads. If we don't make some important changes now we will have lost the opportunity to do so. We must look at development differently. We must make sure that any and all development is tied to transportation, school, environmental and public service needs. We must continue to expect and support excellence in our schools. Only with good schools will companies come to Loudoun. With companies coming to Loudoun, tax rates can decrease on home owners. All citizens have the right to expect to be treated with respect when speaking before the board. No Supervisor should ever mock or demean a citizen. I will bring civility back to the board room. I will meet with citizens and never tell them I am too busy. A member of the Board of Supervisors behavior should be ethical. I will sign a pledge to follow ethical guidelines. The time for change is Nov. 6.
