For the past four years as Supervisor, I've essentially acted as a buyer's agent for the people by working
only to serve the best interest of Dulles residents. To better serve these residents, I've sought ways to
bring people together to achieve the best community in America in which to live, work and raise a family.
I've worked effectively with public and private-sector leaders to deliver a full complement of community
services, amenities, and safety resources that enhance residents' overall quality of life. I've taken a
leadership role in providing affordable housing and better healthcare, and creating a nationally
acclaimed youth prevention program, which has been recognized by the White House. And since youth are our
future, I've worked hard to maintain our top-rated schools that are theenvy of the nation. Additionally,
I've worked with area transportation officials to create the infrastructure necessary to attract world-class
businesses yet untangle traffic so residents can spend more time with their families. After all,
building the best community is all about bringing people together to accomplish that. If reelected
I will continue to work hard to ensure that the Dulles District retains its high-quality-of-life stature
that our residents have come to expect and enjoy.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I'm Stevens Miller and I'm running for the County Board. For years, you and
I have been working together to save Loudoun from excess growth and undue
influence on our elected representatives.
Now, we have a chance to make a lasting difference! We can replace the
current majority that repeatedly puts the house-builders ahead of us. We can
grow families, jobs, and open spaces, instead of just houses, traffic, and
taxes.
I want to end the tug-of-war that's going on between builders and residents.
We can be fair to everyone, while putting residents first. We just need new
leaders.
Please give me a chance to help. Please vote for me on November 6.

I have been the Dulles District School Board representative for five years and chairman for two. I have a two-decade record of community involvement, local government experience and effectiveness, including four years as a planning commissioner.
My oldest child started kindergarten in 1990. My youngest is in fourth grade. I know the quality education they have received (including special education), and as a parent and board member I have worked with three dozen principals in schools serving Dulles students.
Soaring growth is our biggest challenge. I have supported funding/construction of 14 new Ashburn/Dulles schools to serve our children. I also support long-range planning and long-term boundary solutions. We “skipped” a number of temporary elementary boundary moves this year until more long-term assignments can be made.
We need to take our excellent schools to even greater heights. I support continued innovative uses of technology and planning for full-day kindergarten. Although Forbes.com rates Loudoun 11th nationally for delivering high-performance education at low taxpayer cost, we must continue seeking efficiencies and I requested a state audit to find additional savings.
As a non-partisan Independent, I am not beholden to any political party. Our children’s education come first, not party politics.

I am Kevin J. Turner and I am running for the Dulles District School Board seat in the November 6, 2007 General Election. I am a Virginia native, who was educated in the public system. I am committed to putting the families of the Dulles District and the citizens of Loudoun County first in all considerations before the School Board. As a father of two young children living in South Riding for six years, I have a personal interest in seeking to improve Loudoun County’s public school system.
As an Associate Partner at IBM Global Business Services, I work with K-12 districts of all sizes throughout the United States. I believe this experience gives me extraordinary insight into what leading school systems are doing in growth management, curriculum development, and technology in the classroom. I will leverage this knowledge to help our school system solve its most challenging issues, minimize its business risks and maximize the return on tax payer dollars. In addition, I bring the business acumen of an executive and MBA to the School Board, which I will apply to ensure our school system is a model of efficiency, sound fiscal management, and citizen-centric, responsible government.
As Loudoun County continues its rapid growth and transformation, it is clear that the status quo will not be good
enough when it comes to development / land use decisions, school boundary issues, and strategic investments in our
children's future. It was Benjamin Franklin who said "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest" (1756).
Let's start investing in our children’s future so they are prepared for the 21st century with a 21st century education.
Thanks in advance for your support on November 6th!
