It has been my privilege to serve the citizens of Loudoun County as your Chairman and I would ask for your
continued support as we work together to slow down residential growth, work to improve our transportation
network and not allow developers to pick the pockets of us, the taxpayers! Unlike my opponent who has no
experience or a record of community service, I have a proven track record of experienced leadership, service to
the community and working hard for all the citizens that has earned my candidacy the support of the Loudoun
Education Association, the Police Benevolent Association and Voters for Loudoun's Future!

Providing a high quality education is essential to the development of our children into successful adults.
During my tenure as the At-Large member on the School Board we have expanded educational opportunities for all
children by reducing class sizes, improving the curriculum, and making our schools safer.
The most important issue facing the next board is student growth: Over the next five years, our schools will
welcome nearly 17,000 additional students, an increase of over 30 percent. As our population increases, so
does the diversity of our students. Today, we have over 70 languages spoken amongst students that represent
many different races and cultures. Increased diversity creates short-term challenges, but strengthens our
schools and community in the long-term. In order to meet the challenges of growth we must recruit new teachers
and retain our experienced teachers. We must also take advantages of technological advances to improve the
delivery of the curriculum and improve operational efficiency. Your children¹s education has and will always come
first in all of my decisions. I ask for your support to continue this very important work.
