Do Your Homework! Voters, the construction delays in both the new western high school and Hamilton elementary
are a result of weak school board leadership. Mrs. Godfrey is a nice lady and says below that she's opening
schools across the county, but just not in her home district! You'll also see that she no longer mentions
her current Chairmanship of the LCPS Construction Committee. But she is -- and still no new western schools!
Pop quiz! Which took longer to complete: a.) W.W.II or b.) our new high school? If you've done your homework, you know the answer is b). How can this be? Action is what's desperately needed. More shockingly still, because of the failure to get our high school started, next year students will either be bussed to South Riding or suffer through double sessions. (start bell rings at 6:00 AM for session one; session two ends at 7:00PM) A nightmare! Both opinions and LCPS' recent failure to meet national achievement standards are indictments against incumbents. Failed schools, delayed starts, and lawsuits are my opponent's real record. Accountability time = Tuesday, November 6.
Change is needed. New lesson plan: Feegel = new direction, new productive relationships with western communities/town councils, new transparency and new agenda independent of good old boy control.

It has been my pleasure to serve the Blue Ridge on the School Board over the past four years. I have opened nine schools with five new schools being planned; I have supported new security measures and equipment for all our schools; I have supported digital learning boards for all classrooms; I have pushed for the hiring of Nationally certified teachers; I have supported expansion of our performing arts programming including orchestras, world drums and creation of Latin music classes; and I have supported the extension of Spanish language instruction K-6.
